About
My name’s Nick Ames. I’m a 28 year-old football writer who, by day and often by night, has been fortunate to work for Arsenal FC as a reporter since July 2007. You’ll find my interviews, features and the like in the club’s magazine, matchday programme and various other platforms – although none of that will be informing what goes on here unless it’s completely relevant.
Arsenal consequently means a lot to me, but I was born and brought up in Ipswich, UK – so the local team remains in my heart even if it tries its damnedest to escape. Most of all, though, I’m fascinated by how football translates itself across the world – and how it will do so in the future. Hopefully, this blog will capture just a little bit of that.
Any thoughts or questions – just email ames.nick@gmail.com. You can follow more bite-sized thoughts on Twitter, which probably do include the odd Arsenal insight, with @NickAmes82.
